Great fun yesterday
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] It started well, I went to the field and found three sleeping horses, Mossy totally flat out
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I called them and Brett started to come over a he gave Moss a good nudge as he went past
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] they came up and Mossy came into the holding area and I started to
groom him, suddnly Brett & Teep went on full alert and started to
walk off then there where whinnys and Brett was off, Moss got edgy so I
just let him back in the field, all hell let loose, horses every where, I
put the power on full and carefully looked to what the problem was, it
was another horse in the next field!!!!!!! Brett was in a right stew
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] so I abonned the walk idea, after a bit Moss got fed up with the new
horse and really started to get nasty with Teepy, after a bit Moss went
back to Brett so I took a chance and turned the power off and got
Teepy's part of the field taped off then the power back on
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I left them for an hour but Brett was still wired and he kept setting Moss off
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] So I will try again tomorrow
Woopie we got out today
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] We
had a nice walk out past the concil estate, then round the back lane to
the lake at one part we found a big roller parked in a gate way, Moss
did look at that but soon got the courage up to go and try chewing it
ect
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] we got down to the lake and then we went across the causeway
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] very pleased with him as it is a very narrow path that drops off both
sides to water, plus you have to push through the willow trees too, we
turned around in the woods as most of the paths there are blocked by
fallen trees and back over the causeway, then we followed the side of
the lake, past one camping fisherman and then on to the salle du lac, we
had a couple of spooks there, why can you past 11 birds flapping around
in the undergrowth no problem than spook at the 12th?????
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] we went on to beach, sniffed and tried chewing
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] a couple of boats and had a long look at the boats tied up to on the lake then back round the back road to home
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] I stopped at home as I wanted Cliff to come down with me so we could
move the boys to a new field, it took awhile to get Cliff to the door as
he was busy with guests but Mossy just stood there, then a lorry that
had been park up started up, so I just moved Moss so he was facing down
the road away from the main road just in case and I'm glad I did, I'm
not sure if the driver drove badly on perpurse or was trying to be quite
and got it wrong, but it was one of those turkey lorries and all the
metal cages rattled and made a dreadful deafing noise, too much for
Mossy but he didn't run just trotted on the spot, we just stood for a
few mins to regroup but he was a bit wired still and he wouldn't cross
the road so I got Cliff to just stand at his head and then said to just
to walk across the road and at this point the church bells went off to
their evening revallie and about ten cars in a line went through the
village!! anyway Mossy again just stood there then Cliff walked across
and Mossy did follow then as we got to the other side and was about to
turn down the next road another turkey lorry went by rattleing away but a
couple of quick steps was all he did, then back to the field, all in
all I'm very pleased with him and if it had been Brett I would have been
back down to lake before I could blink with the lorry
[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] Cliff came down a few mins after we got back and we moved the boys ok and they are happy up to their ankles in grass again
