A Bit Of Blog!!!

Can you remember what you were doing with your horse 6 months ago?

Probably not Wouldn't it be nice to keep a "diary" of your achievements and where you can look back on the ups and downs of living with your horses.

Would you be prepared to do a weekly "blog" all about yor horse, maybe adding photo's and video's where you can share your experiences with other GF members.

We all do different things with our horses, some less, some more it all makes interesting reading so please volunteer.

I would but...dunno that I'd have much to contribute each week,

ponies in the field most of the time, but could add things occasionally

See i don't get to ride much, too much work and kiddos activities with...

but then sometimes is better than not at all

Come on every body, you don't have to have a busy busy horsey life, it's just a good way to talk about what you did and what you wuld like to do, saves the others halfs having to listen and look intrested

So where do we start?

well....i can't really go back 6 months since i was out of order myself back then so to speak, but starting now..

today i had a really good day,

chance & gerry - they can't wait to go into the field with their new ladies, they all play musical hay piles without music, *cilla shoves uni away, uni shoves C&G away & gwen just stands her ground and munches away, then there is the usual thunder about followed by a snooze, it's a hard life eh?

uni went out without a rug in sunshine (that bright stuff we haven't had in a while) she is shiny and full of fizz, she can't walk or trot sound but by 'eck she can shuffle in canter bloomin fast when she wants too, add in some farts n bucks a bit of head shakin' and tail up & flirtin' & you can tell she is starting to feel better.

gwen is coming along well, she and uni get on so well, they often lie down together in the field.
Jonquille who we now nick name *Cilla.....(Cilla black?) well she was the best ever today, not only did she come over to say hello in the field & get a fuss over the fence, but she let me catch her & groom her without the shakes all over, then when i walked away she went to follow me across the stable 'till the lure of the haynet got to her.

oddly just yesterday i had to use a line to block her in a corner to catch her, & she went to nip as i groomed her, she got a light slap on the side of the nose as she went to bite, & i do mean a light slap a real limp wrist flop type, as you can imagine she threw her head up & waited for the hammering she obviously expected,[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] when i just carried on grooming she thought it over & i think she thought a nose slap for nipping was fair & she calmed right down, i think she is happy she has found the boundary so to speak and having pushed her luck found she is safe afterall?

she did not try to nip today, to be honest i think it is just a habit, lots of ponies do it 'cos kids can be a bit rough around the girth/elbow area, when she did it yesterday it was not serious and she had her eyes half closed, & there was no reason as i said prob an old, old habit?
