Updated - Pompom Rescue 2009 - with photos

In April 2009 I decided to react to an advert I saw for a little pony , I knew he was thin but wasn't quite prepared for the sight of the poor fello



apparently the owners had bought him for their children when their neighbour was moving and leaving him behind. When I first saw him he was stood next to a large round bale of hay that had been there ages and gone manky , he clearly had lots of coat falling out and bad feet and a depressed look on his face , riddled with lice but already it was clear he is very kind loving pony
After the negotiating bit I said I'd take him home asap ... no hurry they said : but I couldn't leave him there any longer than necessary and hired a trailer that evening . The brave little man hopped into the trailer for the 20 minutes back home

The following morning armed with parasite shampoo I got him into the polytunnel ( solarium ) for a good wash down



that seemed to do a good job against the lice and so the next job was to give him a good brush with my friend Lyn who came especially to help with him armed with Frontline spray

here he is again introducing his 'friends' to me while doing his feet ;D

and here nearly two months on ..

and this week in the snow

Wow Carolyn I cannot believe this is the same pony! I remember reading his story when u first got him and once again ur magic has worked wonders!
He is gorgeous and looks so happy

That's amazing!..........that's what it's all about, and he looks so content and 'unworried' by anything! He's a gorgeous little chappie
and I can't wait to see the summer coat on him this year!

Thanks He is lovely , so gentle , he does have problems with one foot that was very deformed but when he feels like it it doesn't stop him bouncing around playing

jings, I forgot all about him, but as soon as i saw the pic of him sharing his friends with you, i remembered. so good to see he is doing well, he certainly is looking good
