| [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]" />She's doing well. Couldnt get near her for a couple of days, thought oh my god what have I dont, but now she whinnies at me and comes over for cuddles, so very quick progress. As with most trotters she has a serious hang-up about her head, but once she trusts you she loves to be rubbed on the face. She's making good progress with picking up her feet as well. These poor creatures do have a hard time of it, so hopefully she's super happy now. Tried her tack on yesterday and tried her with a rug and she was not really bothered by it, so that good to know for the winter! Really settled in well. She's looking much more shinier now she's having regular brushes just need to get a bit of topline on her and she'll be super stunning!! Just taking everything very slowly with her at the mo. | She is beautiful You lucky thing, she's a real head turner. I think we should have a "Trotter's Owner" corner on Galloping Free, where we can compare notes pen | |

| She looks stunning, I've had my trotter for 8 months now, he is very similar in colour and changes with the seasons. Hope you enjoy having her, just take your time. Sara | |

| Not looking too good at the mo, she has swollen lips and her eyes are weeping, so she obviously has some sort of allergy!! Anyone had anything similar with their horses? Poor luv! | |

| sorry I missed this, how is your girl?? did you have to get in the vet?, it could well be an allergy, something you've got growing around you that she's not encountered before, she doesn't necessarily have to have even eated anything. I had a friend who bought a youngster from "up north" in uk, don't remember where:roll: anyway, she brought him back to Buckinghamshire and within the week he had puffed up eyes, snotty nose, swollen muzzle, started head shaking etc. I think by a process of elimination they found he was allergic to rape seed pollen:shock: unfortunately she discovered that it was all around her, not just fields next to her, miles around, she hired a private plane from Booker( not possible for most of us I know) trying to find somewhere near to home that she could put him, I remember when I asked what she'd seen she said that it was "b****y yellow, everywhere" so every year she had to move him away from home. Fingers crossed your "girlie's" more straight forward [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] pen | |

| Hiya, sounds just like Tia, she's got slightly runny eyes and tosses her head. I've taken her out of a field as she was also covered in tiny little ticks and mites all over her muzzle. She obviously has seriously sensitive skin, so i'm not surprised she's allergic to something, but I have to say since she's come out of that field her lips have gone down a bit and she's not tossing her head. I'm going to get the vet out to have a look at her and see what he thinks. Will update when I know more. Also had a bit of an incident when trying to get on her, she totally bronked! Even though she was fine the day before, so i'm hoping! it was because I covered her in fly spray that morning and she had a reaction to it, which was made worse by the heat and pressure of the saddle!! Oh the joys of horses!!! LOL!! Apart from that she is an absolute dream, I love her to bits and she's settling in really really well!! I watched her galloping and bucking about the field today which is the most energy and fun she's shown since arriving! So that was lovely to see! Well i'll let you know when I know about her blubba lips!! | |

| Oooo, she's lovely, congratulations. Sorry to hear about the allergy, has she been in a field with buttercups at all? I have 2 that have a really bad reaction to them. Hope she's ok. Regarding trotters, years ago my OH and me stayed at a B&B that was on a trotter stud and training yard. I'm sorry to say that my holiday was completely spoilt by the treatment that I witnessed on a daily basis for 2 weeks. I used to sneak down to the stables at night when it was quiet and administer kisses and massages over the stable doors. I fell head over heels in love with one colt and I actually cried when we left. Good luck with her. | |

| Thought I would change my profile pic, as took a lovely picture of her and DD mutual grooming. She's doing ok, putting on lots of weight, her topline is improving, but had a vet out who confirmed she had an allergic reaction and also has a slight pain in her back. She has had some pain killers and anti-inflams and am allowed to try her again in a few days time! Eeeek! I'm a little scared!! But hey ho!! Gotta get back on that thar horsey!!!!! | |

| Everything!! LOL!! Vet reckons her fat lips could have been the change in grass from where she came from, Dont know myself! Think the fly spray was a major contributor! She has a UV/Midge rug and mask now and no use of fly repellents and her skin is looking better. Yeah got a friend to hold her for me, but if anyone would like to come get on her instead then please feel free to contact me!!! | |

| Well nothing serious [You must be registered and logged in to see this image.] not an old trotting injury, something she had done here, probably leaping about like a luney tune in the field. He has fixed her and said I can start work with her again in 3 days time!! PHeeeeeeeewwwwwwwww!! | |
