A simple recipe to make your own horse treats.

1 cup of grated carrots

1 finely chopped apple

2 tbs corn oil

1/2 cup molasses

1tsp salt

1 cup of rolled oats

1 cup of flour

put the oven on 350, mix carrot, apple, corn oil, and molasses. Fold in salt, oats and flour and mix well. Spread out in one piece on a greased sheet. Bake for 20 mins, until golden brown. When cold break into bite size pieces.

How long do they keep for?

My guess is a day or two so I'm wondering if a batch could be made up then frozen so some can be defrosted each week then kept in an airtight container?
