| Hi Cally If you haven't already found one I have a Decathlon thoroughgood pony saddle with irons and leathers here. Hardly used, I backed a narrow 13hh PBA pony with it and then sold her on....its sat there ever since. Any good? | |

| Thanks Margaux I think it may be too good , I looked on the decathlon site and its the bardette or educational first saddles I'm thinking of for not so confident kiddies ( 6 + 7 yrs ) , don't know if this is the right route though . Just want something to plonk on a little pony or a donkey perhaps | |

| i watched a french kiddies riding school lesson, they used an assortment of saddles, odd through wierd to strange, i noticed the kids on the pad/bardett type sat badly, hunched up, butt stuck out behind, not a good start, those on the safari cub type sat better, the handle is good as it is raised a bit so they don't drop their hands too low, we bought 1 here for a friends shet, i would reccomend it as a 1st saddle, since it is adjustable it should fit almost anything, we used it for kids from 2 to almost 12y(tall n skinny), the makers say up to 8y even the bigger kids were ok as it tends to make them sit up with a good length of leg. i got this 1 as a hardly used from Ebay UK i think it cost me £20 and £10 to post, they dont weigh much with no stirrups on, bye | |
