a few weeks ago i sent a Pm to cally50 asking about how i could loan my 3 out, so i am so glad she now has this section!
the reason i am offering them for loan is i am having something of a family crisis which is also causing a finantial whoopsie too, this lot combined with a spinal & associated nerve problem i have which is getting worse (& may need treatment) & having sod all grass here has decided me to be sensible and offer them out to loan, ideally a temp loan, but .....???
much as i would like all 3 to go together, i doubt i could be so lucky, so i am ok if all or any go on loan,
anyone interested is welcome to talk to my vet so they get the truth as to the horses health.
SALTIE trotter mare, bay about 15.2hh 26y has probable cushings but was ridden regularly before the foot abcess problem started, my vet sees no reason why she should not be ridden again albeit gently, but a companion home would probably be better, she is well manered, non aggressive, very affectionant, comes to call, loads well, good with feet, good on road, forward going but not nutty, vaccinated and wormed to date.
CHANCE breton gelding chestnut about 15hh 4y, good conformation, healthy as heck, fat as butter, strong, docile but not dozy, been backed and ridden away, had driving harness on and a little long reining, been walkies on the road, loads ok, feet ok, comes to call, eats anything so beware! vaccinated and wormed to date.
i would consider selling chance, i feel he is the 1 most able to cope with a change of owner.
GERRY breton gelding chestnut about 14.2hh 4y, nervous of strangers, NOT SUITABLE FOR KIDS OR INEXPERIENCED, bitted and saddled ok, been lent over no problem, comes to call, is so-so with farrier -gets better as he knows them, loads ok, been led out on the road, not as good a conformation as Chance, but ok-ish, very nimble sure footed and 'games pony' for a chunky. very alert.
although Gerry is part broken and physically ok i would be happier if he went on a temp loan as companion, so long as he is not spooked he is a friendly little soul, but he has had a rough time in his past & if he feels threatened he will react badly.
located in south vendee, close to ste hermine 85210, i have no transport, i would give a more local home 1st crack, but if a good place is offered at a distance so be it,
