Sympathetic Farrier

Hi,
Does anyone know of a farrier that handles difficult
donkeys and ponys kindley. My animals have taken a total dislike to the one I use, and
even after sedation they manage to beat him, yet when he is not around
they all let me pick up all four feet. Think it must be a personality clash !!!

Sorry to hear you've been through this. I too had awful problems, my ponies were so good with my farrier in the UK and it all fell apart when we came here. Won't go into details but I got through 4 before I found one I'm happy with. It was an awful 6 months and I ended up dreading the visits. All ok now though, thank goodness.

Whereabouts are you? You're probably miles away from me but if we know where you are it would be easier for others to recommend, and good luck.

I'm sure we've all had sleepless nights over this one, good farriers are difficult to find, here and in uk. Don't despair morseamy, let us know where you are and perhaps there will be a suggestion or two.

he's called, very patient, he's into barefoot trimming

Have heard of a good guy called "serge"? not to far from you jann, do you know him? meant to be very patient.
