Neuro - Nervous system
Derm - Skin
Osteo - Bones
Endo - Inside
Peri - Adjacent to
Epi - on top of
Poly - mutiple
Gastr - Stomach
Pyo - Pus
Haem - Blood
Sub - Below
Hyper - Increased
Supra - Above
Hypo - decreased
Infra - below
Neuro - nervous system
Osteo - bones
peri - adjacent to
poly - multiple
Pyo - pus
Sub - below
Supra - above
and after a word they mean:
-itis - inflammation
-oscopy - visual examination
-ostomy - making an opening into
-otomy - incising into/through
