| Hi, has anybody on this site had any experience with the product oxyshot? If so, I would love to hear good or bad as am thinking of giving my 2yr old a shot of it for her next farriers visit. Certainly don't want another episode like the last visit | |

| What is rescue Remedy? is it a herbal thing? if so she is on So-Kalm at the moment which contains magnesium but I'm not so sure about its effectiveness. Oxyshot is basically pure oxygen and has no banned substances in it and is recommended by the FEI and the Jockey Club and seems to be quite widely used in the showing industry etc... I have already bought some you see but am always nervous using new products just in case they have an adverse effect so I like to do some swatting up first | |

| Bach Rescue Remedy is a homeopathic, completely herbal liquid, comes in a little bottle at the health food store in America. Great for people, horses, dogs. Quickest is drops on the tongue but you can add it to water. I have used it on my dogs & myself.
I do some work w/a woman who has a doctorate in nutrition. The effectiveness of Magnesium depends largely on what type of Magnesium. Always look for Chelated Magnesium as this is the most absorbable form, same with calcium, same for horses, people, & dogs. Read labels to be sure what you're getting.
I have had great success using chelated magnesium supplements on nervous horses & dogs. They get more focused mentally too so you still have good competitive energy. It's also a good muscle relaxer & a daily dose should rid you of migraines.
Hope this helps. | |

| Hi Georgie, From what I have read, it would seem you would be less likely to experience an"adverse reaction" from this product, than from other calmers. Would it be possible for you to try it before you need it? far safer for everyone concerned. | |
