Is this what's referred to on some websites as required to take Reining lessons at some stables? Does it apply to everyone or just those from outside the US? Do all stables require it?
We don't have anything like it in America, although maybe we should since American love to sue over things..

Also can someone explain how the stable memberships work? I've seen several stables' websites mention an annual fee. There again I've never seen anything like that.
In the US you show up with helmet, boots, check or cash, sign a release in a stable's attempt to avoid future lawsuits, & have your lesson. Oh well, trying to slow down & get used to the complications of French life..

Who does the insurance cover? Emergency medical for me if I am hurt or Liability to protect the stable, instructor, manager, & farm owner if I am hurt & felt they were negligent?

Is this also typical of the UK?

Sorry so many questions but things like this are so different here. It's great if it covers me since I'm one of America's many uninsured people..good thing I'm fit & healthy..

just to add,
i went to the local riding school & they can send off the licence for you if you fill in the form - which they will help with - & pay them the fee, she said that way you are licenced straight away as they know you have it en-course, which is the french version of 'cheques in the post' in general!
