Hi all, following on from my other posting about good areas to ride, what is the weather like in Lower Normandy? Basically, we want to move in the next few years time but want to try another area (we're in central Brittany at the moment), we don't want to go south as too hot for us & want to be within reach of the ferry ports, we were thinking of heading to North Brittany but after a recent trip to Normandy I quite like it around there & you seem to have more horsey events than we do!
However, when watching the French weather forcasts, I notice that the Cherbourg peninsular gets hit quite often with rain, Brittany is also known for rain but where we are isn't too bad, enough rain to keep the fields green, not too hot & not much snow in the Winter (I don't mind more snow though!)!
Whats it really like with you? I know Lower Normandy is a large area, are there any areas known to be very rainy, or suffer from mizzle or lots of dark depressing days? We are planning to take a closer look at around the borders of 50/14/61, maybe venture into Swiss Normandy, although OH likes to be within 45 mins of the coast!
