Does anybody actually know the law on where you are allowed to ride?

Can you ride through fields if the gates are open or there is no fence? Obviously without damaging crops as well.

I have been told that you can, but dont want to get into any trouble if this is not true! LOL!! Very Happy

I hope someone knows!! I had a sneeky canter up the edge of a recently cut field yesterday and it made such a difference to the boring rides of roadwork and stoney tracks Laughing

Was told by the person we bought our house from (french) that we were aloud to ride on the fields after the maize had been cut.
Also if you stayed around the edges when fields planted its also ok.
I have been doing it for 5 years, and so far (touch wood) no one has ever said anything Where you can ride 841287
